Liv & Let at Windy City Live

On October 21, 2019 I was given the opportunity to tell my story on Windy City Live. Thanks to Lurie’s Cancer Center, Northwestern and Lynn Sage Cancer Foundation, my oncologist Dr. Flaum and I were able to bring attention to breast cancer in young adults during Breast Cancer Awarness month. I was very nervous, however once I got on the set I felt like I was ready to share and hopefully make a difference. I was able to share my beautiful family with viewers of the show because I was able to work with a fertility preservation navigator before I started my treatment. It wasn’t as easy as just going through IVF, there is a lot more to the story of how I became a mother. I will talk about this in a later post. Please check back as I believe it’s really important to understand fertility and having a family after a cancer diagnosis (of any kind).
