Lauren’s Product Recommendations
For comfort and support throughout treatment and beyond
Over the last 8 years, I have discovered a number of gifts, products, and amazing organizations that have helped me through my diagnosis with breast cancer. In the early stages of my treatment I was gifted the “Chemo Cozy” that kept me warm during my chemotherapy treatment. I was given a “Lemons of Love” box that let me know someone else was thinking of me and supporting me. I found “Vitamin Water” lemonade was all I could drink to stay hydrated.
I was happy to have these items while going through chemo and would later find that they would help friends who unfortunately received a cancer diagnosis as well. A few months after chemotherapy, I would find the “Nammu” hat. I researched that this hat would help me be out in the sun and at the pool as well as that the “My Girls Skincare” lotion would be amazing for my skin while having radiation.
There are so many resources that I have come across after I completed my treatment that I wish I would have had at the the time of my chemo, surgery and radiation. I want to share with you the items that I did have for support and the new ones I have found over the years. My wish is that they will help bring you comfort and to provide you with the support everyone deserves.
Please let me know if there are products that you have received or found that have helped you along the way. I’d love to share them with others who are currently going through treatment and could use a helping hand. I also feel that it’s important to support our loved ones - survivors and caregivers in all the high and low times after diagnosis. Maybe it is just a thinking of you gift, or a thank you gift, or a congratulations you hit your 1 year of being in remission. I’ll be adding ideas for these items as well.
*Please note that not every product I recommend will work for everyone. Each individual has their own experience and will respond to treatment differently so the products that may bring one comfort could be different from another survivor based on chemotherapy, side effects, surgery and what you personally feel brings you support and comfort.
Warmly,
Lauren
