Mental health is impacted a lot when one receives a cancer diagnosis. So many see the physical and emotional, but the mental is hard to see. I experienced mental health issues before my diagnosis and not only did they stay they grew. Not only should you educate yourself, but share the facts with your family and friends so they can best support you!
