Today we enter into Spring, a season of growth, new starts and ideas bursting from the ground. It is the season of hope. I, myself, have had some bursting ideas for new starts and growth. Recommended by a friend I recently started a “gratitude journal”. She suggested doing this to help naviage through tough times and notice the little things that are good. I also decided that another way for me to grow and get a fresh start - leaving the winter behind - is sharing more affirmations.

“Affirmations help purify our thoughts and restructure the dynamic of our brains so that we truly begin to think nothing is impossible. The word affirmation comes from the Latin affirmare, originally meaning "to make steady, strengthen." The phrase “ you are what you think” definitely pertains to me and living life many times through my thoughts.

The year of 2021 is going to be filled with reading my affirmation cards as well as writing and saying to myself more often that “I am strong, “ “ I am capable,” “I am worthy,“ I am beautiful” and so on. I don’t say these words enough.

Let’s all try in this new season to each day say, write or post a new affirmation. Here are a few to get us started!

I radiate beauty, charm, and grace.

I am a powerhouse; I am indestructible.

I am courageous and I stand up for myself.

Happiness is a choice. I base my happiness on my own accomplishments and the blessings I've been given.
