Six years ago, I would be heading home from the Super Bowl and preparing myself to head to Northwestern Memorial for an ultrasound after finding a lump on my right breast and under my right arm.

Five years ago, I was preparing to complete my final Herceptin treatment and getting ready to celebrate!

Who knew that while I thought my life was over, it was only beginning. I was not going to be silent about my diagnosis and the road ahead. I wasn’t a fan of social media, but I was sure going to share what I was experiencing with family and friends.

It may have taken a few years to get to a place where I was ready to share my story with the world. I struggled with how to do it and what to do. I wasn’t into creating a blog as I am not an experienced writer nor was I ready for a book. However, I knew that I couldn’t be silent. Liv & Let would take some time to organize and get live, but two years ago, I purchased the domain and start creating the website that would soon become what it is today.

Knowledge is POWER - Care is CONTAGIOUS (or it should be) - Cancer Survivors are WARRIORS! I will not be silent!
