April 26, 2020

We are entering into another month here in Chicago with “shelter in place.” I don’t know how the month of May will be for us, but I know I have to find ways to stay sane. Not seeing friends and family in person, not being able to go to the gym, not being able to go to the playground and so much more, but only only being able to communicate via Zoom or House Party, workout with a lot of distraction and playing with masks on is just NOT how I thought the month the brings flowers would be. So… I have decided to sign up for guitar lessons again and learn how to knit. For me these are the ways that I will help keep myself going. I love to sing and by having my daughters Big City Readers class we’ve been doing a lot more singing too.

Today is my aunts birthday and singing “happy birthday” brought some joy on this April 26, 2020.

Try to find a new hobbie or activity to help you get through Covid-19 and through your cancer treatment. I find that new entertainment is a good distraction from anticipating the next day. Maybe try to sing a little more in the shower or with your friends on Zoom it could be a positive moment! Just a thought! :)
